Massachusetts Boy Abducted From School
ROCKLAND, Mass. (AP) — Rockland police are looking for a man they say abducted a 9-year-old boy from outside a school and drove him around for about 25 minutes before releasing him unharmed.
The boy left school just after 2 p.m. Tuesday and got in a car that belonged to someone who apparently resembled a family friend.
Police say the man drove the child around before dropping off the boy in nearby Abington. The boy found the police station.
Rockland Chief John Llewellyn says he’s concerned that the man may have been conducting a “dry run” for a future abduction.
The man is described as white, with a thin build, and white hair. He was driving a gray or white four-door sedan.
Police plan to step up their presence at town schools on Wednesday.
