Utica, NY (WIBX) - Looking for a different place to frequent for lunch? Why not head to the Farmer's Market in Utica! Vendors opened their booth's today to show case and sell some of their items. Keep in mind, that because it's the start of the harvest season, many items, such as certain fruits and vegetables, are not available yet but will be as we progress into the season. However, the items available now are ready for you to take home.

From fresh strawberries, potatoes, rhubarb, cupcakes, local wine selections to venison meat and beef jerky... the choices at the market even include jewelry and plants. Enjoy these photos taken today and join the buy local movement by going out and supporting your local producers. Also, it's worth mentioning that for the second year in a row, Oneida County officials are allowing residents who use an EBT card to purchase items at the Farmer's Market, allowing them greater access to healthy foods.
