The Mets saw their lead evaporate in the elevation at Coors Field on Friday night in an 11 run, four error sixth inning as the Rockies bludgeoned New York 18-9.

Colorado mashed 19 hits, including three hits and six RBI'S from Carlos Gonzalez and a grand-slam from Ramon Hernandez.

Chris Schwinden got his first start of the year for the Mets, throwing just four innings and giving up five earned. Manny Acosta was nailed for seven earned runs in just 1/3 of an inning. And, Ramon Ramirez gave up four runs, but none earned, after New York kicked and threw the ball all over (New York was charged with six errors in the game).

The bright side for the Metropolitans: 17 hits, including four each from Ruben Tejada and Scott Hairston, as Hairston hit for the cycle for just the tenth time in team history.
