Matt Harvey is headed for the disabled list with should discomfort.

The Mets made the move following Thursday's 4-2 win over the Marlins and comes just two days after he was rocked for six runs in three-plus inning against in the opener of the series with Miami on Monday. The Mets rallied for an 8-6 win in that game, otherwise Harvey would have suffered his 11th loss of the season. As it stands now, his ten defeats is still worst in the National League.

However, Harvey had pitched better of late. Before Monday's outing, he'd given up one run or less in four of six starts.

Reports say Harvey is scheduled to have a further evaluation on Thursday before the Mets determine what rehab, rest, or worse, Harvey will undergo.
