The smooth, powerful swing of Yoenis Cespedes propelled the Mets to a three-game sweep of the rival Phillies this week.

The slugging outfielder hit 3 HR's and drove in five on Tuesday, then added two more RBI on Wednesday in the Mets' 5-4 win to complete the sweep. They now head to Florida to begin a four-game series with the Marlins.

Aside from watching Cespedes come alive, Mets fans also got to see Zack Wheeler's first big-league win since 2014, and Matt Harvey improve to 2-0 in his first two starts of 2017.

Wheeler's performance was certainly encouraging. He was shelled for six runs in four-innings in his first start of the season vs. Miami last week. Wednesday he lasted 5 and 2/3, allowing three runs on just four hits. Having him healthy and on track will go along way toward a run at the NL East crown.

Here is the scheduled pitching matchup for the Mets-Marlins series:

  • Thurs - Robert Gsellman (0-1) vs Wei Yin Chen (1-0)
  • Fri - Noah Syndergaard (1-0) vs Adam Conley (1-0)
  • Sat - Jacob deGrom (0-0) vs Edinson Volquez (0-1)
  • Sun - Matt Harvey (2-0) vs Dan Straily (1-1)
