Matt Harvey was traded to the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday.

It ends the Dark Knight's run in Gotham where the wheels had all but fallen off of the Bat Mobile. After being moved from the starting rotation to the bullpen, Harvey then refused a minor league assignment, where the New York Mets hoped he'd find his rhythm again.

Harvey was 0-2 with a 7.00 ERA in 2018, coming off a 5-7, 6.70 ERA campaign in 2017.

In exchange, the Mets get 29-year-old catcher Devin Mesoraco. He's a career .233 hitter, but brings experience behind the plate where the Mets are currently without Kevin Plawecki and Travis d'Arnaud.

The Mets also received nearly $6 million in the deal, helping offset the $13 million Mesoraco is owed this season.
