Millers Mills Ice Harvest Off

Mother Nature has once again forced the cancellation of the Miller Mills Ice Harvest.

The annual event had been scheduled for February 14th.

Organizers say although there is some ice on the pond, the danger is too great for both workers and visitors.  They say there is no guarantee that the thickness of the ice will be sufficient to insure safe conditions or that there will be snow for the sleighs within a weeks time.

The lack of ice will have no effect on the Millers Mills Grange's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social and Sundae Run scheduled for July 17.
