Albany, NY (WIBX) - A new report finds there have been $35 million in unpaid tolls on the New York State Thruway between 2007 and 2011.

A review of the Thruway Authority's finances shows $7 million of the unpaid tolls have been recouped by a collection agency, but the rest remains unpaid.

The biggest trouble spot is the Tappan Zee Bridge, where around $7 million in unpaid tolls and fines have been reported.

The authority is defending their practices, saying 99.6% of all tolls are collected.
