Minor Fire Quickly Extinguished at Remington Arms
A minor fire is under control at the Remington Arms plant in Ilion.
According to Ilion Fire Chief Robert Paddock, a small machine fire broke out just before 9 a.m. at the factory Friday. An employees tells WIBX's Bill Keeler the fire was at building 66, or the barrel shop, .
When the crew arrived the fire was quickly put out with an extinguisher. The employee at the factory also tells Keeler two buildings were briefly evacuated.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
