Minor Injuries After Car Slides Off Road Into Tree

Even when there is not a lot of snow on the ground authorities are urging drivers to use caution as the temperatures fall, as roadways easily become icy and slick.

38-Year old David N. Allen was travelling north on Capron Road in Lee, New York when he is said to have lost control of his 2004 Ford Pickup truck, sliding off the road and into a tree.

Authorities say Allen suffered what is believed to have be a minor head injury and was brought to Rome Hospital by Amcare Ambulance for evaluation.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says that the snowy roadways were a factor in the crash.  No tickets were issued.

Deputies at the scene were assisted by the Lee Volunteer Fire Department.
