North Syracuse, NY (WIBX) - There is a happy ending to what started as a frantic search for a missing autistic toddler in Spafford, New York.

Kimberly Gray called 911 after her son was last seen in his brother's room.

About three and a half hours later Trooper Joseph House was searching Bacon Hill Road in his patrol car when he heard what sounded like a child crying in the woods.  He began searching the woods on foot and found two-year old Michael Gray.

Michael was checked by medics and appeared to be just fine.  His parents met up with Michael and the trooper at state police barracks and he was returned home.
