Eastlake, OH (WIBX) - By all accounts it is a "monster" of a sandwich.

With more than 4,000 calories and 200 grams of fat, the Moby Dick Fish Sandwich is being officially launched April 12th by the Lake County Captains, the class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

Said to "feed four fans comfortably and two fans uncomfortably," the sandwich is the brainchild of John Klein, the Director of Food and Beverage for the sports franchise.

The sandwich is a 15-inch sesame seed hoagie roll with five quarter-pound fish filets, clam strips, eight slices of cheese, one-third of a pound of French fries, cole slaw, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and tartar sauce.  It will set you back about $20 but if you consider the fact that you might be able to get a few meals from it, the purchase might be worth it.

Fans who wish to attempt to eat an entire sandwich within an hour can take the "Moby Dick Challenge," during which they can sit in a special chair. Those who are successful will have their photos posted on the Champion Eaters Bulletin Board at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio. And, yes, of course they'll go home with a special T-shirt.

The sandwich was created to celebrate Opening Night of the Captains'  Tenth Anniversary season and is making quite a splash.
