Mohawk Man Arrested Following Domestic Dispute

Columbia, NY (WIBX) - The New York State Police in Herkimer arrested Richard Maine, 41, of Mohawk, NY following a domestic dispute on Beebe Road in the Town of Columbia that occurred on 08/17/12 at approximately 1:30AM.

Police say Maine broke a plate glass sliding door with a crowbar and threatened the residents at that location. Maine then fled the scene prior to State Police arrival and was located by Ilion Police operating his vehicle and was subsequently arrested by Ilion officers for Driving While Intoxicated.

Following his processing on that charge, he was turned over to Herkimer Troopers who charged him with Criminal Mischief, a Felony, Criminal Trespass, Menacing, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, all Misdemeanors.

Maine was arraigned in the Town of German Flatts Court and remanded to the Herkimer County jail without bail.
