Albany, NY (WIBX) - The Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council will be receiving just under $60 million for their regional projects.

The announcement was made this morning in Albany by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The Mohawk Valley Council received money for 70 projects in the second round of funding.

That includes $250,00 for improvements along Genesee Street in Utica, $150,000 for Rome Strip Steel Company and $1.3 million for Mohawk Fabrics.

Last year, the Council receved $60.2 million dollars for 59 projects.

$738 million is being shared by ten regions across the state.
