The Mohawk Valley Police Academy has unveiled a new state of the art virtual Fire Arms Training System.

The $81,000 system was funded by an Oneida County Partners in Prosperity grant.

County Executive Anthony Picente says with the purchase, the county continues to help local law enforcement by providing them with the best, most up to date equipment.

The training system allow officers to experience scenarios they may face on the streets and also helps trains officers on decision making.

Members of the local media had a chance to train on the new system today.
