Mohawk Valley Water Authority Proposes Rate Hike
The Mohawk Valley Water Authority will hold a public hearing in the Utica Common Council Chambers on Monday, October 27 at 5:00 on a proposed rate hike.
The MVWA Board is considering a rate increase of 2.8% take effect on January 1st.
The board is also proposing to change the start of the authority's fiscal year from April 1st to January 1st.
If approved, the rate hike would mean an additional 83 cents a month or $9.96 a year for the average household.
