Moose Captured in Troy, NY Has Been Euthanized by the DEC

A moose that was captured earlier this week in Troy, New York has been euthanized.

Officials with the Department of Environmental Conservation say that the moose was unable to stand up after waking up following a tranquilization.

The DEC says that it observed the moose for 22 hours before the decision was made to euthanize it.

The moose is believed to have torn muscles in its inner thighs.
