ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — More than $14 million has been awarded to six projects that will create 141 units of supportive housing for homeless families and individuals around the state.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the funding supports housing for families, veterans and people with mental health conditions, HIV/AIDS or addiction.

The Democratic governor says the funding will support projects in Albany, Monroe, Oneida and Seneca counties, and the Bronx.

Projects will include permanent and transitional supportive housing as well as temporary emergency housing.

The projects are part of Cuomo's $20 billion Homelessness and Affordable Housing Action Plan.
