More Than a Thousand Walked in 2014 AK5K

More than a thousand people walked in this year's AK5K.

The second annual AK5K Run Walk in memory of Alexandra Kogut was held on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in New Hartford, New York to raise money and awareness for domestic violence issues.

The event is held in memory of Alexandra Kogut, A SUNY Brockport student who was killed by her boyfriend in her dorm room in 2012.

Her boyfriend, Clayton Whittemore, was sentenced to twenty-five years to life in prison for the crime.
