Mother, Child Struck By Car That Drove Onto Sidewalk

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A car drove onto the sidewalk in West Utica last night, striking a mother and child. According to the O-D, a medical issue caused the driver of the vehicle to lose control of her car, causing the accident. The victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The mother was treated for a concussion and the baby suffered bruises. The vehicle driver was also taken to the hospital after collapsing at the scene, while talking with investigators. Utica police say they are still investigating the incident. So far, no tickets have been issued.
