Town of Vienna, NY (WIBX) - A motorcycle accident on Route 49 in the Town of Vienna sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries. According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, motorcycle operator, 62-year-old Carl Boyson and his passenger 60-year-old Karen Boyson, both of Rome, attempted to legally pass two vehicles, when they were involved in a head-on collision with a car driven by 57-year-old Bohdan Kwasowsky, of Taberg, who was attempted to make a left hand turn.

Officials say Kwasowsky drove into the path of the motorcycle, causing the accident. The Boyson's were ejected from their motorcycle after it landed in a nearby ditch. They were transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for treatment. Police issued Kwasowsky a ticket for failing to yield to another motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in the Vienna Town Court at a later date. Officials say he was not injured.
