Motorcycle Collides With Deer, Sends One To Hospital

A Boonville man driving his motorcycle on Route 46 hit a deer in the two of Ava.

57-Year old James Cooley had tried to avoid the deer and lost control of his motorcycle.  He was thrown from the bike when his motorcycle slid out of control and hit the deer.  Police are crediting a citizen with finding Cooley in the street and calling rescuers.

Cooley was taken to the hospital with head injuries.  The accident is still under investigation.
