Motorists See Cheaper Gas As Summer Season Begins

Utica, NY (WIBX) - If you're hitting the road this weekend, you'll have lots of company.AAA's Ed Welsh says they're predicting 34.8 million Americans will travel 50 miles of more from home during the Memorial Day weekend, a modest increase over last year.

Welsh says motorists will be paying about 12 cents a gallon less than they were at this time last year.

The average price in the Utica-Rome market is $3.82 a gallon.

That's down 3 cents a gallon in the last three days.
