Multiple Accidents On Route 49 Eastbound And Westbound Between Rome And Oriskany

Accidents are still being cleared along Route 49 in both the east- and westbound lanes.

Black ice is thought to have contributed to several pile-ups involving multiple cars.  Traffic has been at a standstill at times throughout the morning commute.  Motorists are being advised to continue to drive slowly through the area.
