UPDATE: 01/06/2016 10:52am The Whitesboro Fire Department has not yet released any official information about the fire.

 

UPDATED: 01/062016 3:21pm- Several fire departments battled a fire at a home on the 2200 block of Whitesboro Street in Yorkville this morning.

The two-family home was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.

No injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Mohawk Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is providing assistance to the seven people left homeless by the fire.

That includes three adults and four children ages 5 to 9.

Multiple agencies have been called to the scene of a fire on Whitesboro Street in Yorkville, New York.

The building, which some have said was "engulfed" in flames, is now under control.

The fire is under control.  Traffic in the area is minimally affected.

No other information is available at this time.
