A suspect is in custody for a murder that took place early yesterday morning.

Utica Police say 19-Year old Eugenio Correa of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was stabbed at approximately 3:00am on Sunday, August 3, 2014.  He was found in front of 959 Bleecker Street in Utica.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office to determine whether the cause of death was stabbing.

Officers responding to the scene saw the suspect, 40-year old Pablo Contreras, walking several blocks away near Hubbell and Bleecker Streets.  Contreras, who lives on Oneida Street in Utica, has been charged with second degree murder.

More information will be available when the autopsy results are released.
