Museum Cuts The Ribbon On New Exhibit
Utica, NY (WIBX) - A permanent model train exhibit has opened at the Children's Museum in Utica.
The exhibit includes many model trains and engines, artifacts, paintings and real train lanterns. The collection was donated to the museum about a year ago.
Executive Director of the Children's Museum Marlene Brown says there's something very interesting about the exhibit.
"Where we located it," she said, "it's on our fourth floor. It overlooks the tracks so that when visitors are up there on that fourth floor, or kids are up there on that fourth floor, they can see trains going by in the back because, as you know, we are located right next door to the train station in Utica."
