Mohawk Valley Community College's Aviation Training Center recently received a donated 1976 Gulfstream to add to its fleet of aircraft.

PF AIr, a privately held company in Rochester, donated the aircraft.

The airplane will provide students in MVCC's Airframe and Powerplant Technology Program an opportunity to learn how to work on luxury aircraft.

Program Director Walter Constantini says it fills the gap between 727 technology and the modern technology that's being used at Mi--Air and Premiere.

The 1976 Gulfstream has been upgraded and modified significantly through its years of operation and an equivalent aircraft would cost $40 million.
