Mohawk Valley Health System has launched a new engagement program aimed at facilitating community involvement in the downtown Utica hospital project.

The first step is to engage the Paige Group to speak directly with stakeholders in the project.  The Paige Group specializes in public input on a wide variety of economic development and public infrastructure projects.

“This is a complex project and we understand our community’s strong interest and need to further understand how it will impact our region,” said Scott H. Perra, president/CEO of MVHS. “We’re pleased that we have reached the stage of development where we can begin to share more information in a clear and timely fashion.”

Outreach efforts will include individual meetings, group presentations and neighborhood and community-wide forums.

The initiative will also include the establishment of an advisory committee that will remain involved throughout the project's development process.
