MVHS Makes Visitor Changes For Maternity Unit At St. Luke’s

Mohawk Valley Health System is making some changes for visitors to the Maternity Unit at St. Luke's hospital.

All visitors to the Maternity Unit will now be asked to show a photo ID before entering for the protection of parents and their children.  If visitors do not have a photo ID, their photo will be taken.

Official say the hospital is like many throughout the country that provide security measures for mothers and newborns.

They say MVHS staff routinely reviews policies and conducts drills to ensure that correct procedures are followed in the event of an emergency.
