MVHS Plans Organ Donation Registration

April is Organ Donation Awareness Month.

Mohawk Valley Health System will be holding two donor registration events.

You can register to become an organ donor at St. Elizabeth Medical on Monday, April 13 from 11:00 to 2:00 and on Tuesday, April 14 from 11:00 to 2:00 at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare's St. Luke's campus.

More than 100,000 New Yorkers are currently on the national transplant waiting list.

Individuals who are interested in organ, tissue and cornea donation can enroll in the New York State Donate Life Registry by visiting www.nyhealth.gov.
