Mohawk Valley Health System is responding to a report in Sunday's Observer Dispatch regarding pediatric care in the emergency room at St. Luke's Hospital.

A group of pediatricians are alleging "severe, disturbing and extremely dangerous” issues involving the care of children in the ER.

MVHS President and CEO Scott Perra says the cases cited in a letter obtained by the OD were all addressed and investigated.

Dr. Michael Trevisani, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at MVHS, says in each and every one of those cases, they look at where there might be opportunities for improvement.

Perra also says they want parents to know that they can continue to bring their children to Mohawk Valley Health System for pediatric care.
