The Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Museum of Art will be launching its online collection page on Monday, October 30th.

More than5,000 works of art spanning three centuries will be readily accessible to the public anytime with just the click of a mouse.

MWPAI President and CEO Anna  D’Ambrosio said the project was three years in the making. In addition to the artwork, many of the entries include scholarly interpretation, bibliography, and exhibition histories. “The Museum is pleased to offer these highlights as a learning resource for educators, the general public, and colleagues,” she said. “By making a wealth of images and art history more accessible, the Museum will reach the broadest possible audience while enhancing our visitor engagement.”

The project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
