NASCAR Texas 500 Is Becoming The NRA 500; The National Rifle Association Sponsoring the Sprint Cup Race At The Texas Motor Speedway

The National Rifle Association is sponsoring the NASCAR Texas 500 Sprint Cup race at the Texas Motor Speedway.

It will be the first Saturday prime time event for NASCAR's premier series.

The National Rifle Association sponsored the American Warriors 300 Nationwide Series race in Atlanta in September 2012.  Spokespersons for both groups have said it is not about politics, but rather about marketing.
