National Grid Ag Customers Can Apply For Discount

National Grid agricultural customers can get a discount on their electricity rate as a result of funding through the New York Power Authority's ReCharge New York Program.

Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi says customers who receive residential electric service and have filed a "Profit or Loss from Farming" statement  with their most recently filed federal tax return should file for the discount.

Brindisi says the discounted rate starts on September 1st, but if you're eligible, you should filed as soon as possible.
