As communities across the Mohawk Valley continue to recover from the recent flooding, National Grid is launching a program to bring economic development aid to businesses in hard hit areas.

Under the program, emergency grants of up to $50,000 will be provided to commercial, industrial and agri-business customers.

National Grid New York President Ken Daly announced the $2 million program in Herkimer today.

He say the Mohawk Valley program is similar to an effort National Grid launched in the wake of damage caused by Hurricanes Sandy and Irene and tropical storm Lee.
