New Hartford, NY - Tomorrow is the day.  Fifteen hours of free, famous flapjacks at IHOP in New Hartford.

In exchange the food giant, along with the Children's Miracle Network, is asking diners to leave a donation behind for Faxton-Saint Luke's Healthcare.

Nationwide IHOP hopes to raise more than $2.7 million this year for charities in the communities in which it operates.

Pancake Day is a tradition that originated as Christians prepared to fast during Lent.  Pancakes were made to use up eggs and dairy products in the home.  The event became a part of Shrove Tuesday, or "Pancake Tuesday."

This year IHOP's National Pancake Day takes place today from 7:00am to 10:00pm at 535 French Road in New Hartford. For more information visit the event's official website at: www.ihoppancakeday.com.
