Utica, NY (WIBX) - Two local police departments will be taking part in Saturday's second National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

You can drop off your expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs at the Town of Whitestown Police Department building on Clark Mills Road in Whitesboro or at the UPD's Thomas Lindsey Center on James Street in Utica from 10:00 to 2:00.

According to the Partnership for a Drug Free America, each day about 2,500 teens use prescription drugs to get high for the first time.

Studies show a majority of the drugs come from family and friends, including the home medicine cabinet.
