Sherrill, NY (WIBX) - The Department of Motor Vehicles is announcing the start of a new service at the Sherrill Satellite DMV Office.Oneida County Clerk Sandy DePerno said the office is offering customers a Drop Box for those looking to renew their registrations or drivers license.

Customers can now place their paper work in an envelope with a check or money order and leave it in the DMV Drop Box. DePerno said DMV workers will collect and process the paperwork on Thursdays, and mail it back the next business day. She said the service is secure and is accessible 24 hours for customer convenience. The new Drop Box is located on the parking lot of the City of Sherrill Municipal Building. DePerno said the County does not receive any revenue when you choose to go on-line or mail to State DMV. She said, "This new drop box will not only get you faster service, but you will help keep your tax dollars local." For more information contact the Oneida County Clerk's Office at (315) 798-5776.
