Students at New Hartford High School got to witness a mock DWI crash today.

Oneida County Stop DWI Coordinator Tom Giruzzi says the scenario involved students who had just left a prom and made the poor choice to drink and drive.

Giruzzi says with the prom and graduation season right around the corner, they're hoping to send students a message.

He says they want to show the students the dangers and consequences that go with making destructive decisions in the hope that they think twice and make good choices.
