New Hartford Man Charged After Larceny Investigation

A New Hartford man is facing charges following an investigation by the New Hartford Police Department.

62-year old Anthony Fabbio is charged with grand larceny, petty larceny and scheme to defraud.

Police say in April of this year, multiple victims reported being scammed out of money after providing it to Fabbio for an employment opportunity.  They say after several weeks, the victims were unable to get their money back.

During the investigation, police say another victim came forward and reported that in January of 2013, he also entered into an agreement with Fabbio in which he provided him with several thousand dollars.

The alleged agreement failed and the victim was not reimbursed.

Fabbio was arraigned in Town of New Hartford Court and is scheduled to return at a later date.
