New York, NY (WIBX) - Carmelo Anthony was again hearing cheers at Madison Square Garden, and again wearing an orange headband, in  his first game as a New York Knick.  Anthony, and Chauncey Billups were both in the starting lineup Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks as the Knicks were victorious 114-108.

'Melo had 27 points in his Knicks debut and led the team with 10 rebounds. Billups made only one of his six three-point attempts but with a perfect 12 for 12 at the foul line, finishing with 21 points. Amare Stoudemire scored 18.

 This was New York's first game since the All-Star break and first since the team made wholesale changes to the roster to acquire Anthony, who is well known in the Empire State for his role in bringing a National Championship to Syracuse University in 2003.
