Local residents will have a new destination for buying local products and shopping fresh.

The State Office of General Services is announcing the start of the Genesee Street Market.

It will be held every Friday from 10:00 to 2:00 in front of the State Office Building in downtown Utica through August 31st.

Visitors to the market will be able to buy bread, locally raised meats and local honey and honey products.

The market will also feature live music from noon to 1:00 on the last Friday of every month.

Performance Schedule

  • June 29: Piano favorites with Keith James
  • July 27: Bluegrass with Nick Piccininni
  • August 31: Jazz with Jerry Dee and the Dovetones
