New Traffic Light In Town Of Marcy
Marcy, NY (WIBX) - Motorists traveling in the Town of Marcy are urged to pay attention to the new traffic light at the exit ramp on Route 49 East and Cavanaugh Road.The New York State Department of Transportation recently installed the new light, which is currently flashing yellow for Cavanaugh Road traffic, and RED for traffic on the exit ramp of Route 49.
Officials with NYDOT say the lights will begin a full three color operation the second week of January 2011 and motorist should exercise caution. According to NYDOT the traffic light was installed under a regional Traffic Signal Repair contract with Power Line Constructors, Inc. based in Clinton, NY. Officials say motorists should also pay close attention to the message signs, which are now in place to warn drivers of the new signal.
