The Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps has 20 new Severe Tramua Kits for its vehicles.

Steven Dziura, EMS Chief at COCVAC, says the kits contain equipment to rapidly treat life threatening injuries in mass causality incidents. He says the kits will be placed in each of the company's ambulances.

Dziura says the trauma kits can be used in place of the bulky, heavy equipment used by emergency personnel.

The State Police PBA helped with some of the funding needed to purchase the kits, which cost about $2,300 dollars each.
