New York and New Jersey Face Crippling Gasoline Shortages Following Hurricane Sandy

Now that Hurricane Sandy has passed and clean-up has begun, a crippling gasoline shortage has gripped parts of the tri-state area.
Gas stations in New York City, Long Island and along the Jersey Shore are turning away customers as their pumps have run dry. At stations that still have fuel, there are long lines of both cars and pedestrians with portable gas cans are waiting to be filled.
