New York Killer Charged With Connecticut Homicides

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A man serving life in prison for murder in New York has been charged with two 1993 killings in Connecticut.

Howard Brown was charged Monday with murder in connection with the Bridgeport killings. The Connecticut Post reports the 46-year-old Brown was ordered held on $2 million bail.

Police allege Brown fatally shot Stafford Angus in a restaurant in September 1993, a day after they argued at a sandwich shop. Authorities also accuse Brown of fatally shooting Fernando Capella a month later, after Capella accidentally hit Brown with an egg during an egg-throwing fight among friends.

Brown is serving prison time in New York's Sing Sing prison for a 1991 fatal shooting in Brooklyn.

It wasn't immediately clear if Brown has a lawyer who could comment on the Connecticut allegations.
