ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York authorities say that the owner of a home health care business in the Hudson Valley has admitted failing to pay at least 67 employees and falsifying business records.

The attorney general's office says Arthur Anyah, owner of Mical Home Health Care Agency in Peekskill, pleaded guilty in Westchester County to several charges.

He has been ordered to pay more than $135,000 of back wages and $66,000 to the state unemployment insurance fund.

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 8. Prosecutors say failure to pay restitution may mean up to a year in jail.

Mical provided home health care to elderly, sick, infirm or disabled patients, helping with daily needs like dressing, bathing and meal preparing.

Authorities say between December 2012 and June 2015, Anyah failed to consistently pay workers.
