The New York Rangers made a move to acquire some scoring on Monday, trading with the Columbus Blue Jackets for forward Rick Nash, according to ESPN.com.

In return, the blue shirts are sending centers Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, defenseman Tim Erixson and a first round pick next year.

The Rangers will also get a 2013 third-round draft pick.

Nash has tallied at least 30 regular season goals in each of the last five seasons with Columbus.

The only Ranger with at least 30 goals in the 2012 season was Marion Gaborik, who will miss part of next season recovering from shoulder surgery.

New York had the Eastern Conference's best record last season and earned a No.1 seed in the playoffs before being ousted by the New Jersey Devils in the conference finals.
