ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — It's still September, but New York is already seeking holiday trees to display outside the state capitol.

The state Office of General Services is seeking two spruce trees to be displayed in Albany. The trees should be between 35 and 55 feet tall and easily accessible. Proximity to Albany is a plus.

Trees are removed at no cost to property owners in November.

One tree will be displayed at the East Capitol Park. The other will be placed on the south side of the capitol on the Empire State Plaza.
